倍加福SLC安全光幕包括了一个发射器和一个接收器。每套设备都是一个带有自监控的光电安全设备，满足EN 945-1或EN 61496的4级标准。红外的保护光束有以下几种光束间距： 14 mm, 30 mm, 60 mm和90 mm。感应范围zui远可达15 m，保护高度zui高可达1800 mm。所有的特性，如启动/重启互锁，都整合在了SLC安全光幕的接收器内。

发射器和接收器之间不需要连接。附加上基本的单发射和接收模块，SLC安全光幕可以进入主/从模式，此时zui多可包括2个从模块，组成3个互相独立的光幕段。这种方式可以提供多个平面的保护（水平，垂直或倾斜的），并且每个段可以有不同的分辨率。安全输出（OSSD）信号位于接收器内。它们都带有独立电气输出的自动防故障装置，继电器输出型带有常开的触点。还可以使用反射镜进行周界或多平面的保护。

SLC系列安全光幕可用在各种有潜在危险发生的地方，比如它可用于周界的警戒，区域的警戒和机器（操作点）的警戒等。一个垂直或水平的SLC光幕确保了不能触及光幕的下方和上方。
